2023 Kia Sportage in Bangor, ME
The all-new 2023 Kia Sportage has arrived and it’s ready for adventure. Featuring a thrilling new design, a more capable lineup, and tons of advanced technology, it doesn’t get much better than the new Kia Sportage.
The 2023 Kia Sportage is available at seven trim levels: LX, EX, X-Line AWD, SX, SX Prestige, Sportage X-Pro, and Sportage X-Pro Prestige.
Design
Much like the rest of the Kia lineup, the 2023 Sportage has received a complete makeover. The SUV’s modern styling now matches the brand’s innovative design language, with angular lines and a bold presence. The exterior can be painted in 11 different captivating colors as well as three two-tone options that give the Sportage a “floating” Ebony Black roof. The front of the SUV features “boomerang” daytime running lights that give the vehicle a sense of motion, even when standing still. Along with aesthetic changes, the new Sportage is also larger than before. It is now 7.1 inches longer and has a 3.4-inch longer wheelbase.
That increase in size means a more spacious interior, offering class-leading rear legroom of 41.3 inches and a best-in-class rear cargo capacity of 39.6 cubic feet of space. If that’s not enough, the dual-level cargo floor opens up to offer even more room for bulky items. The interior is just as thoughtfully designed as the exterior, with many premium materials available. Seats can be covered in sustainable options like woven cloth or SynTex leatherette (perforated and quilted). Available convenience amenities include a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel; heated and ventilated front seats; and a power driver’s seat with lumbar support adjustment.
Performance
Another improvement from the Sportage’s previous generation presents itself in the form of the new 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. When paired with its eight-speed automatic transmission, the Sportage can get up to 32 mpg on the highway when equipped with front-wheel drive.[1] Speaking of drive types, the 2023 Sportage comes with standard FWD but quickly upgrades to the Active All-Wheel Drive system with a center locking differential on the X-Line AWD, Sportage X-Pro, and Sportage X-Pro Prestige models.
Those three off-road-ready models also feature other enhancements that make them ready for any adventure you set out on. You’ll find 1.5 inches of increased ground clearance to make traversing rocky terrain a bit easier. These models also are available with new B.F. Goodrich all-terrain tires, off-road wheels, raised roof rack rails, and a multi-terrain mode system (with Normal, Sport, Smart, and Snow modes).
What’s New on the 2023 Kia Sportage at Darling's Kia?
Even though the Kia Sportage received a complete redesign in 2021, Kia has worked hard to continue improving this popular SUV. For 2023, the Sportage has received many notable updates that we think you’ll love.
Overall, the new Kia Sportage is larger than it has ever been previously. With its increased size, the 2023 Sportage now boasts best-in-class rear-seat legroom and a rear cargo capacity that is the largest in its class. You will have 39.6 cubic feet of space available behind the rear seat and 74.1 cubic feet behind the front seats.
Even with its larger size, the 2023 Sportage actually improves its fuel economy by 8% over last year — helping to save you money at the gas pump. With its 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and intelligent eight-speed automatic transmission, you can expect an average 32 mpg on the highway for front-wheel-drive Sportage models.[1]
The 2023 Kia Sportage comes with eight advanced driver-assist safety systems, including innovative features like Driver Attention Warning and Rear Occupant Alert. If you want to splurge a bit, you can add the newly available 360-degree Surround View Monitor with 3D view for a more comprehensive understanding of the SUV’s surroundings.
These are just some of the upgrades you’ll find on the latest Sportage for sale at Darling's Kia. If you’re interested in learning more about the 2023 Kia Sportage or any vehicles in the Kia lineup, feel free to contact our Kia dealership in Bangor, Maine.
Technology
You’ve got a busy life and the new Kia Sportage is prepared to keep you connected to the world around you, no matter where you’re headed. Standard tech features include Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ so you can use your favorite compatible apps directly on the 8-inch touch-screen display. However, you can upgrade to the expansive 12.3-inch touch-screen display that seamlessly integrates with the standard 12.2-inch instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. Sportage SX models and above come with the luxury of an eight-speaker Harman Kardon® premium surround sound system with HALOsonic® technology that fills the cabin with a concert-like experience. Meanwhile, you can add more convenient features to your new Sportage like a wireless phone charger or rear USB-C charging ports.
Safety
The 2023 Sportage is also incredibly safe thanks to its many standard and available systems. Right from the start, you’ll have added peace of mind with features like Forward Collision Avoidance-Assist (with Car, Pedestrian, and Cyclist Detection), Lane Following Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Warning (with Leading Vehicle Departure Alert), and Park Distance Warning-Rear. As you move throughout the lineup, you’re afforded even more security with helpful systems like Safe Exit Warning, Highway Driving Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, and more. But one of the most intriguing and quite useful systems is Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go. This system uses a radar-based system to adjust the Sportage’s speed to keep a safe distance between you and the vehicle ahead when cruising.
